How Do You Attract Dogs?

Some people seem to have a magical ability to attract dogs. They seem to just be able to walk into a room and every dog in the room immediately wants to be near them. Some people chalk this up to a dog's ability to sense a person's energy. Well, in many ways, they're right.

For those who want to be the person all the pups come running to, Daniel has some advice. When you want to attract dogs, he suggests that balanced energy is the best option. As Daniel explains:

"If you want to attract dogs, I find that the most balanced people in the room are the people that will attract dogs. Somebody like your crazy aunt might walk in and she's all 'Whoo!' and the dog goes crazy and everything. But, the dog is actually in a more anxious state of mind. Later in the visit that dog will leave the crazy aunt alone - sorry for crazy aunts or aunts in general - and will go over to whoever has a more balanced, calm, confident, energy."

Being calm can put a dog at ease because a relaxed body is a happy, healthy body. If you're excited, the dog will pick up on that and mirror your energy. The best way to attract dogs is to be calm and confident in yourself and your surroundings.

If you need help with this, try listening to some calming music before spending time with dogs or other pets. Meditation can also help you become more relaxed and balanced. Leadership can also come with a feeling of calmness. It's something that you don't need to show off. Calm, confident energy will attract dogs like moths to a flame - in the best possible way! For more tips and expert training videos, subscribe to The Beacon Dog Academy training course
